Menopace

Women are increasingly looking to maintain health naturally during the menopause. Menopace® is an effective formulation of 21 nutrients, which can be taken alongside or independently of HRT. In independent consumer tests up to 85% of women found it helpful in maintaining all round good health.

Natural balance

The secretion of ovarian hormones oestrogen and progesterone declines around the menopause, but menstrual cycles seldom cease abruptly and there is a period of transition in which considerable hormone fluctuations become readily apparent. The advanced Menopace® formula includes vitamin B complex, zinc and magnesium, three nutrients used by the body in the production of GLA (gamma linolenic acid), a precursor of the body's own hormone like substances which help regulate changes in hormone balance.

Helping to maintain menopausal health

Menopace® provides vitamin B complex, which is involved in the maintenance of the nervous system and brain function and may help contribute to a normal sense of well-being. It also contains moderate dietary levels (20mg) of Soy Isoflavone extract, to provide Daidzin, Glycetine and Genisein. Isoflavones are naturally occurring plant compounds that studies have shown may be useful for women during this time.

Nutrients for skin collagen

Oestrogen has a positive effect on the production of collagen, a substance that forms part of the bone matrix and helps keep skin supple and taught. After the menopause, oestrogen production significantly declines and 30% of skin collagen may be lost within five years. Menopace® includes vitamin C to help the body maintain collagen production, along with copper, zinc and other minerals important to collagen deposition.

Minerals to keep bones strong

Menopace® provides magnesium, zinc and vitamin D, to help maintain strong bones. These nutrients facilitate bone mineralization, the uptake of calcium and may help maintain bone density. Menopace® is designed to be taken in conjunction with a calcium supplement such as Osteocare®. Bone health is particularly important for women during the menopause, since bone loss may accelerate from 0.1% to 3% per annum during this time.

Nutrients for heart health

It is thought that lower oestrogen levels may influence heart and cardiovascular health in older women. Menopace® includes antioxidants like selenium and vitamin E, to help prevent the unwanted oxidation of fat and cholesterol and help balance cholesterol levels in the blood. Optimal levels of vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid also help maintain healthy lower levels of a blood amino acid called homocysteine that is independently linked with heart health.

Dosage

One tablet per day is recommended with or immediately after your main meal, with a full glass of water or a cold drink. Taking the tablet with a large meal maximises the absorption of the nutrients, and can reduce nausea, which is sometimes experienced if multivitamins are taken on an empty stomach. Menopace® should only be taken on a full stomach. Always ensure that Menopace® is taken with plenty of liquid to wash the tablet down, and not tea or coffee as this may cause the tablet to disintegrate too early.
