Agnus Castus is the most important herb in relation to helping PMS. Does it work?
There is a lot of debate as to how effective the product is at helping with the symptoms of PMS and the Menopause.
A study completed in 2001 concluded that Agnus Castus was safe and effective for relieving the symptoms of PMS. The main results in the clinical study (178 women over the age of 18) confirmed that those taking the Agnus Castus had a greater reduction in 5 of the 6 symptoms (irritability, mood alteration, anger, headaches and breast fullness). There were little or no adverse events associated with taken the Agnus Castus.
