In trying to explain here what this site is about, we kept falling into the trap of using the word “suffer” . In fact we think this is wrong as this implies that all women have a disease that can be cured or has to be endured. This cannot be right!

There are definite health differences between men and women (as the graph below clearly illustrated), particularly those related to our hormones. From puberty to old age, our hormones impact so many aspects of our health, whether this is experiencing mood swings, PMS, migraines or back pain.

In any event there are clearly a number of specific health issues that women experience differently from men, and this site is designed to provide understanding, support and help in managing as many of these as possible.

It has been developed based on our own personal research as scientists and fellow women, to include good factual information and research into the range of conditions and provide a source of products that have a basis in science that can help manage the complex range of impact that female hormones have on our health and well being.

We have close friends that experience serious monthly mood swings; we have mothers that are dealing with the impact of hormone related conditions such as osteoporosis.

As a consequence we set up www.pmshealthcare.co.uk to provide other sufferers with easy access to our research. We have pulled together everything from basic information on symptoms to detailed clinical evidence based research on the latest products to hit the market.
